The times were changing and small, mobile instruments were also making their way to Nemesis set-up. This one has all the rhythmic material produced with an Ipad 2, using a programme called “Samplr”. It is a very handy piece of software, which doesn´t try to emulate normal synths, but makes imaginative use of the touch screen interface.
During the track you can hear the constant tweaking of the pattern lengths and directions. It all results in a very lively groove. The hectic pace is something you really do not hear too much in the more recent Nemesis material. Joni and Jyrki trade interesting themes on top of it all, some of it sounding even like a harmonium!

A wonderful soundscape to visualise & meditate on a better New Year, & how music can truly help to plan it.

honestly this album takes quite a bit of time and many listening rounds to actually "get into". No doubt it is technically excellent, with more advanced composition elements than earlier records, however it isn't that easily accessible either. Perhaps this is actually a strength as each time you will listen to there will be more details to discover. Martin R
