An example of more organic music making during those pattern programmed days. By 1992 we started to float towards the more ambient soundscapes and this is a good one of those. Basic elements are created with digital gear and arranged more like a system music structure. Huge, wavelike chords from Korg M1, effected via Ensoniq DP-4 and minimalistic sequences coming in and out of the mix, created with Roland MC202 and Korg O1Wfd. The overdubs are a Micromoog and Yamaha CS-15.
This is actually a live recording in the studio as we had made the transition to digital recording by that time. These days it was just a 2-track stereo DAT recorder, so no overdubs were possible any more. Everything had to be planned and rehearsed beforehand and the programmed backing elements were sequenced and everything else done in realtime... as was the mixing. So it was just one take everytime, until we got a good one. Very basic, but resulted in a efficient discipline and plenty of results as the music was ready and mixed as soon it was on the tape.
After listening on YT and Spotify and being in my regular rotation I felt the need to double-down on my ambient habit and Buy your music ,Thank you! slowseer
