An example of Joni´s compositional flair at the time. He brough a lot of concise, shorter tracks to the band and this is one of those. Unlike Ami and Jyrki, Joni made his sequencing with a (Mac) computer and he often brought his basic tracks to the band in a rather finalized form. It was then up for the band to build the intros, leads, melodies, etc. collectively. This method resulted in some very accessible and well-structured material. The best ones are probably released as a few of the tracks on the album “Xenopus” (2012).
This particular track never got a final version treatment and this one here is actually constructed from two demo versions. We played this one live only once and on that particular evening there was a tragic freak accident outside the venue. Somehow we felt that this track was somehow cursed and didn´t play it ever again! Superstitious or not, here it is…listen if you dare… Seriously, this one is a decent example of the elegic, more melodic side of Nemesis at the time.

honestly this album takes quite a bit of time and many listening rounds to actually "get into". No doubt it is technically excellent, with more advanced composition elements than earlier records, however it isn't that easily accessible either. Perhaps this is actually a strength as each time you will listen to there will be more details to discover. Martin R

I adore glimpse, each time it comes on, it just washes over me every time. But the whole album is superb. Admittedly, this is the first time, I have listened to this for some time !! But I do that. You discover something so magical on that initial first listen. And you play it over and over, because it is your newest favourite album! I then go off on another exploration, to see what others, are up too.!! When you come back to it. You just let it bathe you with it's loveliness. Thanks again . Peter Moore
