about

In the summer of 1999 Jyrki and Ami were making the next Nemesis album “Sky Archeology” for Spinefarm´s Freeride label. We decided to keep some of those 70´s vibes from Cyberiad, but still wanted to keep in touch with the finnish techno scene, which was mushrooming at the time. The studio work of Nemesis had changed by that time as we now had a digital, 8-track recorder (actually Cyberiad the year before had been our very first (partly) multitrack recorded album).

It meant that we did the certain tracks quite slowly and thoroughly, so there were not many outtakes. This is a one of those rare ones from those sessions. A curious, slightly mechanical track, which is also rare for its major key. It really does not sound like anything else and probably was therefore skipped as an “odd man out”.

Jyrki plays here those great Korg Polysix pads and does some analog effects and Korg M1 sequencing. The leads and drum programming are by Ami.
