A rather catchy, techno-flavoured track from the very early 1991.
This is a good example of our totally programmed music at the time. Ami had bought a Korg O1W/fd, which was basically a Korg M1 x 2, with a 16 track sequencer. Of course, we hooked the Korgs together via midi and this track is an example of just that. It was fun to compose tracks like this, both making a bunch of patterns and then making them work together via the common midi clock. Lots of creative surprises resulted. Here you can hear the bassy, deep sound of M1, alternating with the more mid-range sound of O1. Sometimes separately, both together most of the time.
The title of this track is Lost Sounds because right after we had recorded this track, Jyrki´s M1 had a some kind of a electrical battery failure and all the memory went blank! So he lost quite many good sounds he had programmed so far and had to start it from scratch after that. Which wasn´t that hard anyway, because Jyrki had become a crafty M1 sound creator by that time. And got even better during the next years, taking M1 very far from what you generally would associate with it.
