An improved version of the very first nemesis track, recorded in May 1987. We decided make a new version of it, because we wanted to have it on our first cassette release and felt the original was a bit rough. We also had got a couple of new pieces of equipment (especially GEM strings organ and Binson Echorec echo unit) that made quite a difference.
Possibly the end section was partly lifted from the original recording, because we couldn´t get the same power to the Commodore 64 sounds any more for some reason. The C 64 features prominently here anyway, dealing with all the sequenced sounds and the powerful FX. The very original version of 1.1.87 will be a bonus track on the part 4 of this compilation.
The track tile refers to the unfortunate transatlantic flight of Nungesser/Coli in 1927, just before the Lindbergh flight. It was the name of the their white aircraft. Ami was reading a book about those flights at the time, so that´s the inspiration.
