The only real outtake from the actual Cyberiad sessions (all other material was used on the album). It is the end half of a long 45 minute improvisation that provided the first half of the album track Gozmoz. The original improvisation started very well and that is 1:1 what is on the album. After that we lost our way, but after some time found a nice groove again and here´s what it resulted to. A very strange and yet driving piece of electronic sounds and rhythms. The electronic "conversation" bit in the middle is quite funny. It would be very hard to come up with something like that intentionally...
I think this is excellent stuff and you can feel the ideas bouncing between us. It nicely comes back to the original theme in the end. I think we left the good bits here out from the album only because we had lots of other good stuff around. I think that a small section of this was actually used on Don Falcone´s Spirits Burning album "New world´s by Design" as a backing for one track in 1999 or so.
honestly this album takes quite a bit of time and many listening rounds to actually "get into". No doubt it is technically excellent, with more advanced composition elements than earlier records, however it isn't that easily accessible either. Perhaps this is actually a strength as each time you will listen to there will be more details to discover. Martin R
