Interesting experiment from 1997 as this time we decided to have a lottery about which instruments to use. We wrote the names of all our gear (not so many in those days, probably six or seven synths etc.) on pieces of paper and then drew two each literally from a hat. Can´t remember which ones we got, but listening to the track it seems that there´s Korg Polysix, Micromoog and Minikorg 700s present. The fourth was probably a cassette deck as there seems to be a lots of our pre-recorded effects going on.
Anyway a nice and hypnotic groove. I especially like Jyrki´s heavily modulated Moog lead sound as it seems to soar into heavens.
honestly this album takes quite a bit of time and many listening rounds to actually "get into". No doubt it is technically excellent, with more advanced composition elements than earlier records, however it isn't that easily accessible either. Perhaps this is actually a strength as each time you will listen to there will be more details to discover. Martin R
