Lasse Lindgren I simply cannot get passed this album. Been listening to it non-stop all summer. It reminds me of the security and the wonderful sounds of my childhood back in the 80´s. Favorite track: Nightvision.

Robert Wallace A great debut from the Nemesis man.
Real 80's style sounds that just blend and flow through the air and keep on playing in your head long after the credits. Favorite track: Nightvision.

about

A new solo album from the nemesis ranks; Jamy Stankirk has now released his debut solo album called “Night Vision” –music for Korg M1.

The music here is the sound of the classic Korg M1 digital synthesizer from the late 80´s, using the built-in sequencer of the unit. It´s all in the man and in that particular machine from 1989, no other instruments or effects used. Jamy has created these tracks over several years and they clearly represent the elements he has always brought to Nemesis; mathematical ideas and the certain personal “ groove “ in the rhythms and melodies.

The fact that he wanted to concentrate to use his main compositional tool only, brings forward the quality of the compositions and musical structures. The end result is at times almost prog rock with unusual accents and time signatures, creating catchy polyrhythms. So even if this music is in someways created totally differently to what Nemesis usually does, it still has a lot of the musical DNA there you would expect to find… it´s different, but somehow still feels familiar…
