Robert Wallace 'O Blessed Are The Cheesemakers'..So glad you got together for the first session all those years ago. My life would have definitely been a lot less worth living without you!...great tracks from a great band...keep on pressing those keys, buttons and bleepy things.

about

The first part of a compilation series, which will have a single track from every year of the 30 years of Nemesis. Three parts will follow and the last one will be solo tracks from all the three guys.

This album has a PDF article as a bonus item. It contains all the info about individual tracks plus photos from nemesis archives. Also included are the cover files, if you want to make your own, 77 min. CD-R item of this.

Every track is previously officially unreleased stuff from the archives. Tracks 2 and 3 have been available on the free "Early Days" series, but these versions have been digitized and remixed from the original 4-track tapes, so the sound is much superior. This is a fascinating glimpse of the story of Nemesis with most of the detours included. Lots of additional info on the tracks on their separate pages...both technical and anecdotal :)

On the first day of 1987, on a Sunday afternoon this all was started. We didn´t have any idea then, as two very young men, that we would be still doing basically the same thing 30 years later, with Joni added to the line up in 2000... But there you go...

We had the very first session that day and it was just an idea to try to make some electronic sounds together for the fun of it. We didn't know any others locally, who would have any interest for things like that, so it was sort of pretermined that we would try it just the two of us. Jyrki had a Commodore 64 and a modified shortwave radio and Ami had a Micromoog and Yamaha CS-15. The result of the work that day was a one track (a new version of that, recorded a few months later is the track one here...the actual first recording will be a bonus for the part 4) and we thought that it was promising enough to try again next weekend. And so it went on...and on and on...

So here you have it... the first part of the four part compilation Decades 1-4. Enjoy!!!
